Misen Chef Knife

Anybody used one of these? Thinking of trying one. Can't find a duplicate for my favorite knife, and I now work in two different kitchens. SeriousEats.com said "Ladies and gentlemen, I am going to call it: This is the holy grail of inexpensive chef's knives. Incredible quality and design, high-end materials, perfect balance, and a razor-sharp edge." Tempting!

Good quality for the price, but not the holy grail. A very good knife in that price range. I got one for my wife and my daughter, my daughter loves her's. For my wife not so much, she prefers my Japanese blades, as do I.

Chaz what knife are you trying to replace... style/length/steel/profile? Very important, how do you sharpen your knives? Misen isn’t the worst blade on the planet but.... you could do better. Have you ever been by this site? http://www.kitchenknifeforums.com/forumdisplay.php/4-The-Kitchen-Knife
