Using reusable ice packs instead of ice cubes?

Hello! Just starting out with sous vide. I want to cut down on waste, and don't have an ice maker. For ice baths, could I just use reusable ice packs? If so, just try to fit as many ice packs as I can in the water bath? Thanks!

I have vacuum sealed water and freeze them, they work great.

yes you can do this. It's not quite as convenient as ice cubes (better surface area), but it will work.
