Multiple Whipping Siphon Charges

So I have seen several recipes that call for 2 charges on the whipping siphon. I am wanting to make sure I don't mess anything up so is this charge and then relieve the pressure and do a second time or is this 1 charge right after the other. I am not seeing much online in the way of answers and don't want to blow the thing up!

For 1 liter whipping siphons - for cream chargers do one charge, shake vigorously for 5 seconds, do the second charge, shake vigorously for 5-10 seconds. Done. For soda chargers do one, release the gas, then do two charges back to back I believe. YouTube has a lot of help there. I think ChefSteps has a video too.

It depends on the size of your siphon, 1 pint size takes 1 (one) charge, 1 quart takes 2 (two) charges. When you do two, it's one after the other, no venting between charges.
