"To the amazing Cook with Joule community:
As you’ve heard, there have been some changes at ChefSteps in the past week. Our funding situation unexpectedly changed and we’ve had to make the incredibly difficult decision to let a significant fraction of our amazing team go. This truly sucks.
I appreciate your understanding that in the coming days our focus will be on supporting our affected friends and that we may be a bit slower to respond than usual.
This also means that we will be discontinuing certain lines of business, including Joule Ready and any additional content being added to ChefSteps Premium.
I won’t lie, this is all incredibly difficult, but making these changes will allow us to focus on Joule and continue to support the hundreds of thousands of customers that cook with Joule. We remain confident in our Joule sous vide business, which continues to exceed our expectations. We will continue to provide product and customer support for Joule—yes, your Joule is going to keep working.
I cannot thank you enough for your incredible support of ChefSteps from our earliest days seven years ago. All of us have truly appreciated your enthusiasm and encouragement over the years: it’s kept us doing what we do."
