Would love to have one, but can't justify the cost. But I read something from Breville that they were working on a non-pro version (hopefully less expensive).

I had read that. I had been hoping Chefsteps would develoona competitor as a follow up to Joule but since Breville is backing them now I guess that won't happen. Hopefully an affordable non-pro version is on the way like you said. I wish they had a stirring feature but this still far cheaper than a pastureizer for me.
