Motor Stuck issue

I have been having issues with stuck motor since March. I have gone through at least 4 joule replacements.

I do the whole vinegar treatment etc but nothing seems to solve my issue.

Anyone else having the same issue? Just seems weird that all my replacements end up with the seem issue.

I have not had this issue, but two thoughts come to mind.

1. Have you removed the magnet (screws off), the remove the propeller (pulls off) to see if anything is getting sucked up and caught on the shaft? This shouldn't happen if you are only using Joule in water, but it is worth checking.

2. Do you have hard water? Could it be mineral deposits? Maybe use filtered water.

I am not connected with ChefSteps, so don't substitute this for submitting a ticket and asking the team...just some things to check.

@FrankM_3301 Thanks for the response. Yes I have done that and I actually bought a small brush for cleaning the inside. I always add a dash of vinegar to my cooking tub. Give it a full 1:1 vinegar to water cleanse once a week

I have had the same issue beginning around the same time. The longer cooks always seem to cause me issues. At least they keep sending replacements

My motor never fully crapped out on me, but I did hear a lot of struggling. I followed their advice, and did the vinegar cleaning, a few times, prior to sending in a ticket. They sent out a replacement. I followed up with them once my old unit had been received. They told me it was dirty, and that I needed to clean it using the vinegar method. I told them I had, and was told to just keep doing the vinegar method until it was clean.

I gave up on the vinegar method, and began using a 50/50 mixture of CLR and water. It dissolved all the crud that built up on the inside, and since I've been using this, I've had no more issues. I do rinse it out really well, before cooking, but everything goes well enough. As my unit had ish reached the end of it's warranty, I wasn't worried about voiding the warranty, but I am fairly certain that using CLR isn't manufacturer approved, so if you, or anyone else, decides to head down that road, keep this in mind.

I’ve had this issue since I started using joule a couple years ago. My replacement has the same problem despite cleaning with the recommended vinegar solution & CLR. I am a bit bummed that the unit seems to be struggling with occasional, intermittent use. The software & app for joule are amazing and an impressive feature of this unit but the hardware falls a bit short.
