Savory yes....you can freeze and creamify just about anything...what do you mean by hot?

No as i don't have one, but I do have a pacoject and have used it for many purees (celery root, sweet potato, parsnip etc etc and it works really well and presume it should work well w/ he Ninja icream after freezing as well.

I thought I was being clever when I bought the Ninja iCream machine. I've been using my Cuisinart ice cream freezer and it works great but seeing the adverts, I thought I could get a better product with their magical machine.

NOT. Packed it back up in the box and brought it back for a full refund.

Anyway, you can make any type of base regardless of the apparatus you use to make it creamy and smooth. I have NO idea how you make hot ice cream unless you cook the base and eat it without freezing? I dunno. Anyway, good luck with your Ninja but I'll stick with my Cuisinart churn.
