ANOVA Chamber Vac

I wonder if anyone has had a chance to play with it yet? I love my precision combo oven, and I bought their very first circulator way back when mostly because I wanted to help support a sous vide at home movement, and I was surprised how well it stacked up against my Polysci circulator even then (although I am now running joules exclusively).

That is all to say I am comfortable being a Guinnea Pig on this but always nice to get user feedback if any of you have it.

Hey Daniel, I’ve no experience with that machine.. however you seem to have a commercial tilt to your previous posts. You know.. like three control freaks

I bought a Vac215 a few years ago when much cheaper and on sale. It proves itself without fail. So my question.. what is this going to be used for?

I’m left wondering.. why not a better machine that you could write off ?

Off topic.. I purchased a Musso Lello ice cream machine a while back (loving it) and was thinking about you for input recently. Stabilizers, flavoring, etc.. I’ll post separately

I think you would enjoy the extra volume they afford. They are heavy, but I put mine on a rollaway tool chest.. bags in a drawer

Not sure of your budget (?) but if the 215 is too expensive, there are a few VP 122's available on ebay. I purchased mine 8+ years ago and have had one board replaced (~$100) and I use it every day. It's a work horse. The chamber dimensions appear a bit small in the Anova. The VP200 might also be another consideration.

It looks like a branded/customized version of Avid Armor's vacuum sealers: https://avidarmor.com/chamber-vacuum-sealers/. I have the USV20 and it's great. Yes it's small, you're not going to be able to fit a whole pork shoulder or whatever in it, but I use mine all the time for anything that's not a really big cook and it works great. I also love it for meal prep because it can seal liquids; I can seal single portions of soup/stew and then stack them flat in the freezer.

From my horrendous experience with the anova precision oven and the lack of customer service. I would never buy any anova product again. I went with the avid armor USV32 and its fantastic.
