A More Useful Pan
Hi All,
From a home cooking point of view, what would you find more useful? A .9 quart saucier with a diameter at around 6-7 inches or a .8 quart saucepan with a diameter between 4 and 5 inches. I'm thinking it would be for reduced, finished sauces that would be strained into them.
I love the Falk Culinair sauciers, but I really can't figure out how useful they would be to me versus a saucepan.
Eventually I plan on owning a 3.2 quart saucier (with a 9.5 inch diameter), 3.75qt saucepan, 6qt saucepan, and 11.8 inch fry pan, but have been thinking I want something smaller too now.
Is 3.2 quart saucier just way to big? Usually I go with the bigger is better, but sauciers take up so much space in terms of their diameter. I'm only cooking for 5 or so people max.
Thank you!
Edit: Or are those small pans just too small. I could go as big as a 1.2qt saucepan I think. I already have a 2qt saucepan so no need to get any closer to that.
