Will we ever see a 220 volts version for Europe?

Isn't that the voltage in Australia? Breville is an Australian company. Do they make things for the US that they don't sell in Australia (old Joules predated merger)?

When I inquired about this for an EU one, I was pointed to Sage. No sous vided on any page I could find.

Cheers!

Amazon for all Europe and Sage for the UK used to carry Joule but this is no longer the case for a long time.
I thought there was hope with the Turbo model but it does not look good.

I am afraid not.
ChefStep sold Joule via Amazon in Europe. Since Breville took over, only the remaining, available stock was sold. The specific European production, so I assume, was shot down by Breville on a very early stage.
I don’t see this will change anytime soon. Breville is only selling a very small number of small appliances throughout the European market. As Prima Latte espresso machine, waffle iron and Halo Air fryer, thats about it.
Joule oven and other (approx. 80%) more sophisticated appliances as the smart grinder are not on for sale within Europe, i.e. the EU.
Unless you don’t have a specialized power converter
from 110 V (60Hz) to 220 V (50 Hz)
you won’t be able to use the Joule Turbo outside countries with matching power distribution.
There is not only a technical hindrance/ effort to sell electrical appliances in Europe, especially in the European Union, but also major bureaucratic and certification efforts to overcome what are most probably will cause extra cost Breville isn’t ready to take.
For example: any electrical or mechanical goods sold within the EU need to have its manual print out in all 27 languages of the member countries.
What is a real bummer. I darned would love to have the turbo.

It’s not only the voltage. Australia, as a major part of Europe, runs on 220 V (50 Hz), whereas the US runs on 110 V (60 Hz).

Thank you for the info.

Joule has never been available in Australia - yes though Breville styles and markets itself as an Australian company it effectively bans Australians (chefsteps premium membership is irrelevant) from accessing some products such as joule, why most here end up with unwanted anova. Was the same with some models of the smart oven etc.

(And that is ANY kind of joule…)

Australia is “a major part of Europe”?? 🤣
Mate, you’ve gotta take a glance at a world map occasionally.

He did not write "is", he wrote "as", as in "just like".
Your comment was so confident in stupidity that I felt compelled to register just to let you know.

Hi Manfred, we do sell many Breville products in the EU, UK and beyond. They are sold as Sage Appliances:
https://www.sageappliances.com/content/sage/choose-location.html
. Joule is not currently available, but a lot of our other products are, including commercial appliances like HydroPro and Control Freak.

Its coming, we promise! We don't have a firm date to share but it has been in the works for a long time and we can't wait to bring Joule back to the UK/EU and to AUS for the first time! In the EU/UK it will be sold through our brand
https://www.sageappliances.com/content/sage/choose-location.html
. If you are on our mailing list, or the Sage mailing list for your region, you will be the first to know when it is available for purchase.

Hi Chad, if you are in Europe and are looking for a Breville sous vide appliance, we do sell HydroPro in a 220 Version.

We do! Joule appliances are currently only available in North America, but we are working on bringing them to other regions as well!

Hi Megan,
Any updates on Australia? I've got the Control Freak and the HydroPro Plus and really want the Joule Turbo for smaller cooks.
Really hoping after almost 10 years of being told "it's coming soon", this time it really is, coming soon.
Cheers.
