ThermoWorks TW8060..... recommended probes?
Matthew_Snyder_68770
Got a TW8060 for Christmas from the in-laws, and I was hoping the community here might be able to offer up suggestions for the 2-4 best probes I could get for it. When summer rolls around, I'll definitely be using it for barbeque, but I'd also like to make sure I'm getting my money's worth.... well, my in-law's money's worth..... by maximizing the utility of the tool. Thanks in advance.

Hey
@Matthew
, I think Grant answered a similar question with specific models numbers in the questions after the macaron course.
I'd make sure to get one for candy/deep frying.

You should have at least one of each of the following.
Miniture needle probe. Thermoworks part number 113-181
Heavy duty wire probe 113-372
PTFE tip probe interestingly 113-372 also. its the same probe with a waterproof tip. The tip is nice fore projects where its difficult to get an accurate measuring with the traditional wire tip like when do candies. It has a little slower response time but gives a more consistent reading.

Thanks for that, Ben. eCommerce, engage!

What typical usecases Heavy duty wire probe 113-372 has?
Why it is difficult to use it for candies?
