Siphon won't hold a charge?
tuckatodd
I have a brand new 1 pint siphon and it won't hold a n2o charge. I am in the siphon course and am doing everything exact how Grant shows us. I believe the charge is coming out the tip. And yes everything is screwed on tight, all gaskets in place. Stumped? Any help appreciated! Thanks

does it come out slowly? On my siphon, the small tip where the various adapter tips will screw on is also a screw in and of itself and if you have it twisted too tightly the level will be depressed slightly even though it doesn't look it, so that is something to check.

I did check that and I don't think that is the case. thanks!

— A few questions, is this an iSi or another brand? I'm most familiar with the construction of the iSi. Does the pressure valve and spring (see diagram on the siphons basics page) slide smoothly, or does it have a bit of friction that keeps it in the slightly open position?

- Yes, this is a isi siphon. The pressure valve seems to be working correctly. After screwing on the nozzle it doesn't seem to be opening the internal gasket. Thanks

That's very odd. I would probably suggest a return.
