I just did a good cooking deed, a little buddy of my daughters said he wanted to become a chef, so thanks to
the videos here I got out a cheapo knife from a drawer, did some grinding, some sharpening and honed it,
voila - 10 minutes later we were slicing tomato in 2mm slices.
I sent him and his mum home with a half a pound of home made bacon, that knife and told him to come
around so we could work on brunoise, julienne, fine dice and other necessary cuts.
I also want to throw out this, a chef friend of mine is starting up a series of internet cooking shows
My daughter is being interviewed tomorrow for a show on how to slice, clean and sautee shrooms and
serve those with scrambled eggs, I know it isn't modernist in any way shape or form but I like any
way possible of getting people into the kitchen and serving delicious food.
