Vacation to Seattle and Vancouver....

My girlfriend and I are traveling to Seattle, Vancouver and Lummi island at the end of june beginning of july.

We will be eating my birthday dinner at The Willows Inn on Lummi island and we were wondering if anyone had any suggestions for any other must try restaurants in Seattle, Vancouver or surrounding areas?

A friend recommended the omakase at Tojo's Sushi in Vancouver...

Vancouver:

If you enjoy Thai food you could try maenam. The dishes have more finesse and thought put into them than your typical pad Thai joint.

Everyone raves about vij's for Indian food, so you could give that a shot. I would describe it as fusion. FYI, they don't take reservations and the wait on a typical night is about an hour. Plus side, they serve Indian snacks for free while you wait.

Can't say enough good things about Sitka and Spruce

I am going to be in Seattle starting tomorrow and need some last minute help! We are trying to find a good spot for the 4th for dinner, and hopefully a great out of the way spot to watch fireworks. Anyone from the CS team have any recommendations of places that might be open? Read good things about Shiros and Tsukushinbo, any thoughts on those?

We are planning (for lunch or dinner) during the week while we are there: Spur, Art of the Table, Poppy, Sitka and Spruce, Revel, Little Uncle, Paseo, and serious biscuits. Salumi is closed this week (BOO).

Any others to add to the list is much appreciated!

Republic is one Westlake in Lake Union. The Fireworks are down the street. You might even be able to see them from the outdoor seating.
