I had to go investigate the reason behind what seems like an abrupt announcement, and it looks as though the building might be razed. Just what NYC needs, another high rise development! /sarcasm

On the plus side, the restaurant is going out on an absolute high, especially after the fabulous tribute paid to Wylie by GELINAZ back in April. It's been a good run. I for one can't wait for WD~50 2.0 — or whatever project that follows. Mazel tov, Wylie!

@Andrea Feldman‌ Thanks for the heads up on Gelinaz. It must have been an amazing event! I'll try to go one last time before they close. I have great memories of my meal there.

UGH!!!!! Bad news. :-(

Both of the articles I read said he had no plans on closing, where was the November date announced? I guess it is time to get back to NYC to say goodbye.
