Cold Smoke

Its time for me to get a smoker. I live in Las Vegas in a highrise building so I have a few requirements that I need to meet when I purchase my smoker:

I am not permitted to have open flame, propane, or charcoal due to fire department regulations. I prefer cabinets, anything that looks like a grill may result in headaches from the HOA and/or fire department
It is very windy where I live, so the smoker must be capable of working in wind environments of 20 mph winds.
I intend to mostly cold-smoke around 150f, so ideally I would like to get a solution that has an external smoker
I cannot keep the smoker outdoors due to the harsh winds, so ideally it will be on wheels (or have a cart that I can buy with wheels)

Ideas? Bradley Digital Smokers look interesting, but the external smokebox has to be lower than the chamber, which makes for a rather akward setup for a guy like me who lives in a highrise. Any better ideas?

Cold smoking is normally done way below your 150 degrees. You could use this in a normal box to cold smoke.

Is a good read, also - as you see all of the CS recipes involve a temp

that is higher than normal cold smoke and it is also combined

with extra steps - I'll let @Chris/@Grant/@Meathead go further into that.

Thnx guys, I decided to get the Smokin-It electric smoker and I have no regrets, made the best ribs of my life the other night and virtually no smoke in the air = happy HOA. I also got the Amazin tube, but I cannot use it while at my home. I will only use the Amazin when I can wheel the smoker elsewhere. Appreciated!
