Are classified listings frowned upon?

Hey all,

I'm just wondering if classified listings are frowned upon on the community forums. I have a handful of lightly used items that I think some people might be interested in and I would love to offer them to this community before heading to eBay. Is this an idea that's been discussed before?

People have listed their services and I don't recall seeing a post expressing discontent. That said, perhaps a quick email to CS privately would clear the issue for you.

I wouldn't mind that. More option to find or get rid of interesting stuff. It would just need to have it's own section and some monitoring so that it doesn't become full of commercial spam...

Probably there should be a dedicated section for it, but I can't see why that wouldn't be appropriate.

Hi Chris, this is a great idea and something we've thought about before. We don't currently have a separate category for it, but I'll add one and let's see what happens.
