Cooking at 9113 Feet
Mason_Perry_34060
Hiked one of the local peaks yesterday, the elevation was 9113 feet, it was 18F with about 20-25 mph winds so windchill was about 0 degrees (my waterbottle froze inside my pack) when I cooked lunch I took the temp of the boiling water for fun 192F, you can see I heated my baked beans in the can inside the pot of water. I made tea from the water in the pot, the view was spectacular as the visability over the desert was about 50 miles, I should have taken my SLR but I took my small pack and didn't have room (60 pounds as it was) Should be doing a lot of hiking this spring with some overnight trips planned.
Pics below, I cobbled together a 270 degree panoramic shot facing east over the desert.
