One of my main concerns about buying an Anova One was they only ship via Fedex (ie. expensive). I was also concern about the import feed that Fedex could charge. The recent offer of US$50 meant that it made shipping essentially free.
It took 4 days to arrive.I live in Victoria, BC.
* Anova One was US$150 (50 off due to promotion)
* Shipping via Fedex was US$43.99
* Fedex Import fees were C$10.50
* GST C$10.80
* PST C$15.12
So shipping was approximately US$54
because Anova wrote down US$199 as the cost of the circulator, the taxes above reflect the regular price of the circulator (US$6 more than it should have been).
I wish Anova would have ship via USPS. I believe it would have been cheaper.
Overall, i am happy with the experience, although I have not used it yet (this is my second circulator to complement a Polyscience (chef serices) when I need to cook at two different temperatures.
p.s. I forgot to add. Anova requires signature on delivery, which means a person must receive the package. You can pay the fees via phone or in person.
