Plates and Tableware
Matthew_Snyder_68770
Maybe not exactly "Kitchen Tools and Equipment", but this forum seems the best place for this question.
My wife and I ate at ink. (M. Voltaggio) last year, and I really liked the plates and bowls that the food was presented in. Then I find ChefSteps, and it seems that in your videos you guys use very similar items. If you don't wish to (or cannot) say a name brand, that's cool. But what kind of plates are they? (Material) I'm kind of bored with my all whites and would like to upgrade.

Like many chefs, we buy a lot of our stuff at Crate and Barrel and CB2. I suspect Ink might too.

@Chris
is CB2 also Crate & Barrel, like their outlet/overstock store? I haven't been there in too long, time to check it out! Thanks for the tip

Ya www.cb2.com is great, they also offer flat rate shipping on a bunch of stuff which at least for me means cheaper than driving.

Will CB2 plates hold up in a restaurant?
Brendan_Lee_56950
i just got some in the mail and they are pretty heavy duty so I would say yes but I imagine that may differ from one model to the next

@Brandon
— I know many famous restaurants that use CB2 dishware in their restaurants. We have a bunch, it holds up fine.

Here is a picture or Terracotta Dinner Plate I purchased recently from an online store. It really suites my Dining table. Apart from this I inherited my grandmas

set a decade ago, and I still have it. And these are the dishes my pops and his friends ate on when they were kids in the 40s. I really can't recommend them enough. They're not fancy looking, but they are super durable. I look forward to handing the whole set down to my kids someday.
