You can use glass mason jars for some things (e.g. confit) but for most applications, plastic is the best material for the job. There aren't any reputable concerns about safety when using Ziplock, FoodSaver, or chamber vacuum bags.

There are some silicon sous vide bags, but they've been known to leak, I hear.

Thank you for your reply. I live in the Philippines thus a reputable brand on plastic bags are pricey. I'll research on how I can do the water bath in my country and will tell you about it.
