Bench scrapers

These are tools which have a wide variety of uses! Taxiing ingredients, handling bread, scraping bowls, pushing stuff through a tamis, cleaning boards etc. There does seem to be a wide variety of materials and shapes they're made out of, and consequently some of them are better at certain things than others are. They're typically inexpensive though, so you can probably afford a few.

I don't know if it counts as a bench scraper, but I really love this thing from ISI. I don't bake much, so I mostly use it to scrape bowls or spoons and pass purees through a tamis. It's flexi silicone on the outside but has a really strong, rigid core; it has a bunch of nice edges and contours that will go into pretty much anything you'd want to. And it's cheap. I'd get another one in a heartbeat if anything happened to mine.

I know these bench scrapers from Ateco are common, but the handles dry out and crack with repeated dishwashings. I use them anyway because ours haven't worn out yet, but I won't buy more.

But the bowl scraper from Ateco is fantastic for passing things through a tamis as long as you're not so enthusiastic you shave plastic off it into your food.

I buy the cheap 2/$1 betty crocker one's you find at the dollar store, I keep them beside my cutting board at all times to help me scoop ingredients into bowls/pans/etc. They're dirt cheap and easy to throw in the dishwasher without worry. I've been working with dough a lot lately so I've come to use them a ton for moving breads and dumplings as well as scraping down the board afterwards. I keep these plastic ones on hand and the I have one high quality stainless steel one that I use for cutting into tougher doughs like pasta but that one doesn't get as much use as my plastic ones.
