ISI Mod

Hi all,

New to the forum here, so I apologize if this question has come up before. I was wondering if it would be possible to mod a Gourmet Whip to accept CO2 or N2O from a large tank (5 to 20lb range). I imagine you could measure the internal pressure Dave Arnold style with an instant read plugged through the top, or dispense a fixed amount of gas from a quality regulator. I saw a mod for the Soda Stream that does exactly what I'm describing. I'm just wondering if anyone has sorted it out for the gourmet whip seeing as the ROI on larger tanks is totally worth if you're a frequent ISI user.

I’m using the ISI often but concerning safety measures and low price of approved charges, I would not advice for any alterations on the ISI whipping siphon in order to save expense. The possibility for a risk expense (personal injury, damage) is far closer than any possible savings on a imaginary ROI. For once you lose the ISI (or any other producers) warrantee in an instant, next you expose yourself and possible others to a certain risk  if playing with pressure gases especially if mechanical (design)  alterations are performed on the original ISI model.

I know this is rather the wrong answer to you, but anyway…!
