All our work tops are standard wood surfaces. We have oak, maple and walnut tops in our kitchen. We use standard boos block mystery oil to condition and wash with mild detergent water.

what wood are you using ? I found a water and heat resistant countertop . One thing i am concerned of is the hygiene .. i presume that you can't use the ordinary kitchen sanitizer ..
