How to turn off flow vents?
susan_fox_33805
I read the manual, I googled but nowhere could I find instructions on turning off the circulation vents (cooking half dozen eggs). I thought I read somewhere here that that was recommended with eggs.

— The flow vents get turned off by sliding the two little plastic tabs on the front and back of the unit. These taps cover the two holes that are below the waterline. And, essentially, they halt circulation. I believe the idea was that sometimes you don't want to stir the pot because it causes delicate items to get bumped around.

I am under the impression you want circulation for eggs. If you watch the video grant put up for the green eggs and ham you could put the half dozen eggs in a ziplock bag and cook them that way to avoid them swimming around the bath. I personally put them in one of those mesh laundry bags made for keeping your undergarments together in the wash and hang that from the side of the bath.
