FoodSaver Quick Marinator
Jo_o_81757
Has anyone tried using the
FoodSaver QuickMarinator
accessory for techniques like
vacuum compressing plant foods
,
removing air from a liquid or gel
, or
flash pickling
?
Does a regular foodsaver with this accessory create a strong enough vacuum for these effects or are they something that can only really be achieved with a chamber vacuum sealer?

It works but at a very minimal level, not to the degree that it would be worth the money if you didn't get them as a part of your package IMO. I've also cracked all of the canisters that came with my original foodsaver, the plastic may have changed since I've owned it (it's at least 6 years old) but it's something to keep in mind.

Thank you. It sounds like the FoodSavers aren't strong enough for most of these tasks. Are they at least strong enough for removing air from liquids?

Probably but I wouldn't spend the money if that's all you're looking for

Yeah, no point in getting the marinator accessory for that. Thank you!

You can't used it for any of those things. The vacuum just isn't strong enough. I tried before I traded my foodsaver in for the VP215

New discoveries in the field of taste sensations will delight modern kitchen assistants - FoodSaver Marinator
check that
. Meat of any hardness, salads, fruits, fish for baking and appetizers, sausages and cucumbers - 9 minutes for a vacuum marinator. The sudden appearance of guests on the doorstep will not confuse the happy owners of a unique electrical appliance. Many delicious meals can be prepared by pre-pickling food in a marinator. A quick dinner will be more like a well-prepared celebration. And all this is a minimum of time and the same amount of effort.
