Right angled spatula
John_Davies_66346
My mom had this spatula. It's well made and seems to have a purpose. I just don't know what the purpose is. I've never found it useful.
Any ideas?

I have seen spatulas with the handle at a right angle to the blade bit. But never one where the blade itself is bent.

It's a old style masher....taters or whatever....you can sometimes find them on eBay.

Looks like Henckels still makes one in that style.....

All I know is that spatula is designed for making quick work of many a mixing task, especially when it comes to sticky batters. Probably, the handles are angled at 90 degrees to maintain the hand and wrist in a natural, stress-free position.
