whipping siphon

Can anyone recommend a good whipping siphon? I've looked online, and it seems like for a decent one, it would be upwards of $100 (usd). Has anyone found a good one thats cheaper than that? Its honestly never dawned on me that a whipping siphon would be so expensive.

Isi does the best ones, Mosa are great if you really are diligent in cleaning. Same cartridges.

Not the exact same container behaviour, the cheaper stuff isn't gonna help with temp.

I have an isi and a Molecule R (which I suspect may be a rebadged Mosa, but can't be sure) that was about 1/3 of the cost of the isi ($35, I think). I've never had a problem with the isi. In comparison, the MoleculeR has very little control when dispensing product. I haven't had it as long to really put it though it's paces, so consider it cautionary rather than a full out recommendation against. For whipped cream it is adequate. When I tried it for a hot application though the product was ejected with so much force it was nearly impossible to use. It ricocheted off the test cup I was using and dispersed all over me and the wall behind me. At that moment, I didn't have time to deal with it, so after cleaning up the mess, I grabbed the isi and had no issues. I need to test it again and see if I just need to modify my technique a bit.

iSi, in part because they will probably give you a recipe book with it that includes several modernist applications to try.

Have 2 isi's. Keep an eye out on amazon and ebay. Can be 1/2 price on occasion. Use mine for hot and cold applications.

oh man, it seems like the isi is the way to go, but those are super expensive.
