Immersion Blenders
Tim_Sutherland_52834
My immersion blender committed suicide by jumping off the counter yesterday.
Any recommendations for a replacement?

I have the Frigidaire Professional, which I could not be more happy with. I make a smoothie every morning, I really like the container it comes with and feels very solid without being overly heavy. I don't have much experience with other units, but I have been very happy with mine.

i had bamix 240w swissline for 5-6yrs, and it works fine for me.
However, do not wash dry or wet container in dishwasher. I had to eventually buy replacement lid for dry container.

I got the
Bamix
200W, it does the job fine for me.
The different blades are nice if I just need to add air to a liquid but I usually leave the one on.

@Tim
what did you decide on? Mine just did the same and I've been eye-balling this one -

Seems to be reasonably priced and commercial quality.

@Tim
I've been very satisfied with the Bamix unit I got several years ago.

This is the one I use and I like it. The inner housing is metal so it will likely have a longer life than some of the other plastic ones that can strip down over time.
