Latex gloves
Wong_Choo_Uei_130773
Would like to ask about the latex gloves you use while handling food. Does any kind of latex or powder free gloves can be used to handle food? I am not entirely sure about this. Also do you wash them gloves before use?

Usually found in pharmacies or pharmacy section of grocer. I commonly wash my hands (with them on) prior to use. perhaps over-conservative, but for the sake of a couple of minutes....

While uncommon, latex allergy can be quite serious; with the allergen even being transmitted to food if touched. I would recommend medical grade vinyl gloves instead of Latex. We have pretty much removed all latex products from hospitals because of the allergy risk.

I use nitrile gloves as they are also useful when working on the truck. I buy the gloves in bulk (10 boxes of 100 per box) online. Make sure you get the correct sized glove for your hand and always have dry hands when putting gloves on.

I really like Nitrile gloves...they're tough.
