I know we all feel spoiled by both the content and format of Chefsteps, what with the videos and the interactive online community and forums. Things you can't get in a dead-tree cookbook. But I still feel strongly that I want the core content - the recipes, techniques, and science-y information, to be in a hardcover book on my shelf. At the ripe old age of 35 I guess that makes me old school, but I can't shake the love and satisfaction I have for physical books (culinary and non-culinary alike) that I don't get from computer screens. In fact, most Chefsteps content ends up coming out of my printer and into a 3-ring binder for use in the kitchen.
I realize that the Chefsteps folks have mentioned this as an open possibility in the past, while emphasizing that their current focus is the online format. Fair enough, but let me at least add my name to the hat of people who would cheer this on. I suppose it would have to be an open-ended multi-volume series, starting with "The Early Years: 2012-2015".
And pardon me if someone already started a thread on this, my search did not turn up one.
