Hi! I'm traveling to Washington DC on february for 4 days, and I would love it if some of the experts could give me restaurant tips! I have a reservation for Jose Andres' Minibar!
Thank you all so much!

Please post feedback on mini-bar. From a distance,it is an inspiring location. Jaleo is also good for (esp fpr groups) and lots of places downtown. Slightly out of downtown, Lebanese Taverna in woodley park, Medaterra (also on Connecticut-woodley park) and Jandara Thai in same area. Ate at these a couple years ago while at a conference in the area.

Michel Richard's central is supposed to be pretty good, city zen in the mandarin oriental is a solid meal, the blue duck tavern is pretty delicious. If you are willing to drive, Volt in Frederick maryland is excellent and Table 21, their chef's table, is an amazing tasting menu.

Just to follow up on Brendan, CityZen is no longer open. Eric Zeibold left to pursue a solo project that is scheduled to open in Fall 2015.
My favorite restaurant in DC is Rose's Luxury. Unfortunately, they don't take reservations and are very popular, so unless you're willing to arrive an hour and a half early or get on a two hour wait list, dining there can be a challenge. I'd also highly recommend Little Serow, but it has the same issue as Rose's Luxury.
My favorite place to take out-of-towners is The Partisan. It's in downtown DC not too far from minibar. It's a more casual dining experience, if you're looking for something like that, too. I'm addicted to their beef fat fries. I'm also a big fan of Kapnos.
Rasika is good for Indian food, though it can be difficult to get reservations even a month out. I actually prefer it's sister location, Rasika West End, to the downtown location.
Finally, if you're looking for another tasting menu restaurant, see if you can get reservations at Komi. And I've heard nothing but good things about Seasonal Pantry, but I won't get a chance to confirm until I dine there on the 31st.

I did
Rogue 24
a few years ago which I really enjoyed.

Damn I didn't realize city zen closed. I lost touch with the girl I knew who worked there. I was actually coming back to this thread to suggest rose's luxury.

Having never eaten at minibar, I am still comfortable saying all of Andrés' restaurants in DC are good.
Jaleo
never disappoints, but the real eye opener for me was
Oyamel
. I live in Los Angeles, and really good Mexican food is not exactly hard to find here. But Oyamel really did the trick. They're at opposite ends of the same block of 7th St NW across the street from each other. (Jaleo is closer to the Gallery Place/Chinatown metro stop, Oyamel is closer to the Archives metro station.)
Zaytinya
was good, but I don't know that I'd recommend it as a destination. I just happened to be walking in the area when I suddenly came over all peckish and decided to pop in. It was fun that I did tho, because Chef Andrés was there hosting a media event for Yotam Ottolenghi and Sami Tamimi.
There's also a decent food truck scene in DC, if that sort of thing floats your boat.
Also ate at Graffiato, which was completely underwhelming.

Between minibar and other reccs here, I think you've got fine dining well covered for a 4 day trip! On the lower-brow side, let me suggest:
Ethiopian
(don't leave DC without at least one)- Zenebech Injera or Dukem are the reigning favorites.
Ramen
- Daikaya (or Izikaya, if you're feelin fancy) or Toki Underground
Thai/Laos
- Bangkok Golden is a trek out to Virginia, but well worth it. Little Serow also. Serious spice alert on both. Not for amateurs.
Beer and charcuterie
- Church Key above Birch and Barley (which is a very good modern gastropub) has breads from the restaurant, great house charcuterie and all of the beer.
Whisky
- Jack Rose is supposedly the 2nd largest whisky collection in the US. It's awfully full of textbook "bros" on the weekends, but if there's a single malt you had once and loved and have been looking for ever since... you'll find it here.
Soul food
- If Henry's Sweet Potato Pies on U St. has reopened by the time you get here, that's worth a stop.

+1 on Bangkok Golden and Little Serow. Minibar is amazing. Check out Washingtonian magazine's
100 best list.
As a former food-team member there, I can tell you their process is exhaustive and honest.
