Catering a party
James_76415
hi everyone!!! I'm catering a friend's birthday party, 30 people or so. On the menu so far, beef and chicken sliders, fresh salsa w/chips, SV flank steak with chimichurri, fresh shrimp spring Thai rolls. Any more ideas anyone? Thanks!

A gauc and queso will go, the CS nacho cheese works as queso.
A green salad with a vin on the side gives an option for those that want something green.
Some roasted vege (carrots, cauliflower, etc) are good for a side and they taste good cold.
Use the birthday cake as dessert.
Make sure everything can be eaten with one hand while standing.
Do as much as possible before hand and have the means to keep the hot food hot, disposable chaffing dishes are ugly but cheap.
If you don't have help, arrange with a few of the guest to help run food before the event starts.
Try to keep the people out of the prep/plating area as their "help" will mean more work for you.
Have more sliders than you think you need. Later in the evening when everyone is hammered they will crave sliders.
