Aprons? Yay or Nay?

I have been looking into getting an apron lately particularly into these two:

Does anyone wear aprons as a home cook and have any recommendations? It would be nice to have a place to put a towel, pencil and notebook.

I wear a cheap white cotton apron that I purchased at a restaurant supply store - 12 for $9.

My main reason for warring them is so I have a place for my side towels.

Im with Tim, I went through sooooo many pull over shirts I finally started wearing an apron. Advantage of white aprons...BLEACH and oxo clean.
