Occasionally while using my pressure cooker the scent of the food I am preparing gets trapped in the rubber gasket. If I am cooking a pork stock or a bolognese sauce this almost always happens, and it could take weeks for the scent to disappear. Regular washing does not solve the problem, and a 2 day soak in white vinegar did not help.
Does anyone have a good way to remove lingering cooking scents from a pressure cooker rubber gasket?
