Hello Chefsteps,
I was wondering if anyone has any experience with food grade non-stick cooking sprays. I have an old waffle iron that I would like to use regularly, however waffles don't release from the iron mold very easily. I've seen spray on teflon products such as
this and was wondering if anyone has any experience with these items. Whether they actually work, how long the coating lasts, safety concerns, etc.
On a related note, does anyone have any recommendations for rust removal? There are tiny rust spots that I'd like to remove, I've heard a diluted phosphoric acid solution might do the trick. I was even considering just soaking in Coca-Cola.
Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!
