I work for a really exciting Berlin based food and technology start-up which delivers freshly prepared food within 15 minutes. The menu currently consists of 2 options (one meat, one vegetarian) and changes daily. We are looking for a chef to focus on R&D. Our operational model is rather constrained, since food must be prepared in large quantities and the food must be kept warm for some time. Our commitment is to deliver as high quality as possible, and for that, we need a chef who can focus on the technical aspects of the cooking. We are looking for someone who is able to use technology and science to create truly fresh, exciting and delicious meals. In other words, the kind of profile should be the kind of person who visits this forum and reads modernist cuisine. Ideally, the guy should also have some fine dining experience.
Since many of the readers here would fit the profile, I was wondering if you could help me with some advice on the following:
1) How would I find a chef like the one described? Head hunters? Posting online?
2) Would anyone here know a chef in the Berlin area (or willing to move to Berlin) who would fit the profile?
