I have a Sousvide supreme, Sansaire and the Precision Cooker. My Anova failed / stopped heating overnight. Their customer service was extremely responsive; however, these issues shouldn't come. So far so good on the new unit. I also think their focus on Bluetooth is nonsense. They should have a solid machine work first before adding bells and whistles.

The precision cooker. It's decent when it works, however, there are some considerable limitations (or appear to be). Support and turn around has been good, but should it have to be so frequent.....

But they are new and selling o consumers mostly, not professionals, my concern is if we really want SV to take off, I'm hoping majority of bugs are worked out swiftly.

Is that the AnovaOne or the newer Precision Cooker? I got the precision cooker through Kickstarter, and haven't had any problems, but I've heard there have been a few. I use it mainly for short cooks, or as a second temp bath when I've already got something going in my Polyscience. This deal is for the older Anova, non bluetooth unit with touchscreen. I haven't used this one, but seen mostly good reviews for it. Interested in other thoughts, because I just convinced a friend to go in at this price.

Mine over heated (or something) this morning doing some apples. Temps didn't match and I tried troubleshooting. Couldn't get it to come back on and "line up". So left it unplugged fir an hour and tried again. Seems ok but shouldn't be doing this to begin with. I was one of the Kickstart erstwhile and this is my 3rd or 4th unit to need repair. Anyone run into this issue previously? I like it, but it isn't near as robust as my polyscience.
