As I mentioned earlier, i went to the Asian supermarket this morning. As always, I came home with cool stuff. Unfortunately, I forgot to note what this was so I have no idea how to prepare it or eat it. Anyone have an idea? It seems easy to peel. Below the skin you will see the beige color fruit like the one on the left. Like a lychee, this thing has a seed in it. Let me know if you have an idea of what it is.

Interestingly enough, I searched multiple things. The result that came up with that answer was "little green fruit like lychee". Couldn't think of anything better.

Good job. That appears to be what it is! Now I just need to find something to do with it. Incidentally, what did you search on to find it?

First it is sour and then it taste a bit like litmus paper. Once the outer skin is removed, there is very little flesh and a very big seed in the middle. I tasted the seed thinking it might be some kind of fruit nut but it was extremely bitter.

Hmmm, interesting. I wonder why the Asian market it would carry it? I don't see the fruit linked to any Asian cuisine.

Did a little bit of quick research. Looks to me like it could possibly be a Mamóncillo (Spanish Lime). From the wikipedia page:

"This fruit can be sweet or sour. In the southern areas of Mexico, it is generally eaten with chili powder, salt, and lime. The sweet varieties are generally eaten without condiments of any kind."
