Vacuum Reduction?
DiggingDogFarm_65362
Is it possible to accomplish a satisfactory vacuum reduction without an expensive hot plate/magnetic stirrer?
I happen to already have a faucet aspirator vacuum pump.
Thanks!

— Yes, you'll need a hot plate unless your stove is close enough to the sink. Also, recommend putting in some kind of object to nucleate boiling sites so that the flask doesn't jump around and break itself. In chem labs we had boiling stones for this purpose, but and rough-textured, intert object will do.
