Scandanavia - Estonian Cuisine

I will be traveling through Scandanavia (Finland and Estonia) next week. I have a difficult time researching cuisines of Estonia online simply because it doesnt turn up much. Anyone here familiar with Estonian cuisine? Can you recommend me staples of Estonian cuisine I must try as I travel through Tallin and Helsinki?

Right, blodpudding is something we'd have in school, usually served with cabbage, lingonberries and sometimes mashed potato.

The traditional cuisine depends a little on region, herring, eel, pike, bass and flounder is something we ate quite often.

Salmon and trout further up north, (my grandma hated salmon, the workers in the north had the unions force through it could only be served 5 days a week). Sausages, liver sausages, tongue, sylta (Headcheese), potatoes, try and see if you can't find almond potato - great flavor.

Cloud berries, pancakes, rye breads of many types, scandinavian pastry / cafe's are nice.

Gravlax, shrimp salads and so on.

I have found black pudding and dark rye bread as something that is commonly eaten. I will look for these as well as pickled herring and pirogues as you recommended. I dont like doodling in modern five star restaurants because alot of times it has nothing to do with food majority of the people like to eat everyday.

What have you found? I can help translate if you want, large parts of Finland and Estonia are multilingual,

think seafood, pirogues, pickled herring, meatballs, yellow pea (dried) soups, ham and so on.

I'm not great on anything finnish nor estonian though.
