The small mason jars used for the single serving creme brulee's etc are handy little things. While making my evening snack it hit me that had some left over coffee butter and..well, we all know it takes allot of oil/fat to poach an egg yolk or two in the water bath using a hotel pan taped to the side and a ziploc can work but has it's limitations. So I tried poaching an egg yolk in coffee butter in one and it was convenient, efficient and didn't have to use a ton of butter (or oil). With the larger wide mouth jars this may be an option for more than one yolk. I simply never thought of it until I was putting some jars away......my apologies for the poor quality pic
