Cameron Stovetop Smoker

Has anyone here tried the
Cameron Stovetop Smoker
? What do you think? I have a tiny apartment so I'd really like to know if it keeps smoke in. Does a lot of smoke escape? pros/cons welcome.
THANKS!

Looks awfully small... And like it'd smoke up your apartment in zero time.

They do make one that's bigger.
They're basically a clone of the Abu Garcia smoker.
The design has been around for a long time.
They're useful for putting some hot smoked flavor on things.
I have one and use it occasionally.....when the weather is bad, when I'm only smoking something fairly small or I just don't feel like dealing with the bigger smokers.

Oh, I grew up with the Abu Garcia, only ever used it outdoors though for fish.

If you are going to use it in an apartment you will need good ventilation otherwise your abode will smell of smoke and all you will hear is the smoke alarm.
The smoker can only hot smoke and it does not have much height. A more more flexible approach is to visit your local restaurant supply store and purchase a deep hotel pan and a perforated insert. It will do the same thing for about the same price but give you much more room.

Thanks all.

I know is this a late contribution, but in case anyone else wanders here: I own one, used it in my house just fine. But moved to a small condo and now I only use it on a hot plate outside. Otherwise the place reeks for days. I think I might do the hotel pan setup and do it on the outdoor grills provided at our building.
