Cloudy Blender...Cleaning Tip?

Hi guys, I bought a nice Waring blender about a year ago and use it easily 5 times a week. I always wash it with mild dish detergent by hand and let it dry. Over the period of the last year, it seemed to have accumulated some cloudy mineral stuff on the sides of the container and on the blade. I've watched several YouTube "How to clean your Vitamix" videos, and I've tried a few of their suggestions: blend lemon with warm water...White vinegar with salt and soap and water...but nothing seems to get it back to that brand new clean look.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

If the pitcher is plastic, you may have etched it by leaving something in that was too acidic. I did that to a plastic measuring cup by leaving ponzu sauce in it in the fridge for a few days. I also have scratched the plastic container of my cuisinart by trying to grind cloves in it.

Have you tried putting your cleaning solution into it and running it for 30 seconds?

As Theo mentioned, it's likely small abrasions on the container itself. Besides acidic things, if you've done anything particularly hard that might have worsened it.

Yea, I made a yuzukosho about a week after I got mine. I've had a "cloudy" container ever since. Bummed me out, but I keep it in the closet when not in use, so not really a big deal.
