Smoked Turkey for Thanksgiving
Jean_1731
We are planning to smoke a turkey for Thanksgiving, then take it to Oregon (I live in Sacramento) for Thanksgiving Dinner. How should I reheat the bird?

Hi Jean! Reposting our email exchange so everyone can benefit from your question: Chef Ben recommends reheating at a low temperature (less than 200F and covered with foil) until it's nice and warm (as long as it is fully cooked from the smoker) for at least 4 hours and possibly longer. You can definitely keep the foil on for a while but finish the reheating process without it on to achieve slightly crispier skin. Feel free to check as you go!

How big? Off the cuff I would say 170f until internal temp is 140 ish (probably an hour or 2). Pull it and crank the heat. Treat it like a roast chicken
