Induction Burner Recomendations
Russell_Bryan_173734
I am a college student and I am renting a house with an abomination for a range. Any recommendations for counter top induction burners? Also is it worth the money/trouble to go for a 220V 3500W unit?

The search function here is always a good place to begin with such questions. Check out these discussions:

The following site offers a pretty comprehensive breakdown of induction cooktops and offers:

The fact you can see cost per kW is a nice feature of this site. I suspect a 1.8kW unit is going to absolutely flay the range you're currently using, and you'll have the benefits of not needing 220v if you want to use it somewhere else. However I haven't compared them, hopefully someone else who has chimes in.

I have this Waring unit and can recommend it happily.

I love my Volrath Mirage. I have an induction range now that is very nice, but I do miss the level of control I get with the Volrath.
OTOH, I do love that 220V juice for that sear...
