I had a question concerning what Chamber Vac to get. I see a lot of people are liking the VacMaster VP215. I have also seen the PolyScience 300. The VP215 has a oil pump which gets a better vacuum and could potentially do "canning". But the PolyScience have a lot of cool modes, like marinating and such. Does anybody have a good grasp on what to get. I could always do the modes manual in the VP215. But do I really need the higher pressure. Is there any other sealers in the same range that would be recommended. I know there are other oil chamber vacs with modes and such, but they are usally 1-2K more.
Does anybody have a good sense of how easy it is to do the same modes with a VP215. For example. How long can you hold the vacuum without sealing bag or letting the air back in?
I am leaning towards the VP215 just because of how people say it is good, my dad has the 300, so I wanted to ask. If I did put in a little bit more money, is there anything that is worth the upgrade without spending more then 2K?
Thanks guys.
