I can say a few things: work with odd numbers & don't try symmetrical stuff because it's much easier to fuck it up, if it takes 10 minutes to plate: it's not right, be as natural as it can be, group stuff that you want to go in the same mouthful in bundles.

But this is a good start and they recommend a few books I think, so go for it!

I would add to join groups on facebook. I get a pretty steady stream of beautiful plating on there. I save the ones I like and analyze them, to identify the elements I like and why they work. But in the end its all about practice. I still struggle with plating sometimes.
