I was just wondering about the Visual Done-ness versus Manual Temp in the application... If I were to pick out how I wanted something cooked, i.e. an egg, with the visual done-ness- would the Joule app tell me what the temp and time would be, so I might know for future reference?

The Joule app will not only tell you the time & temp, it will also set Joule to heat up to the temperature you selected, notify you when it's ready to drop in your eggs, and finally notify you went it's done. That's the advantage of Visual Doneness, all you need to know is how you want your eggs.
