Olive oil jelly
Kaitlyn_287703
Hey guys! Is there a way to turn olive oil or any oil into jelly? If so what gelling agent should I use?

I recall modernist cuisine made some gummy worm type things out of olive oil. I don't have access to the books anymore, but it's a place to start anyway. Good Luck!

Agar agar might work. Add some agar poweder to the olive oil, heat to 212, pour into molds or jar or on a plate for your desired shape and then set aside to cool.

You meant this one I reckon? Wondering if you would actually taste the olive oil looking at the amount of oil vs the rest of the (sweet?) ingredients. What do you think?

Looks like it. Frankly, i haven't the foggiest idea you can taste the olive oil, or not. I mentioned this, because, while there are a bunch ofother flavor augmenting ingredients, you are all making a stable gel with olive oil. As i mentioned in my post, this is a place to start: brainstorming, coming up with something that wil lead to the desired outcome: an olive oil jelly.
